Incorporated in 2001, Carolina Pelleting & Extrusion, Inc. is a privately held US corporation headquartered in Newton, NC (about an hour northwest of Charlotte). The founder, Douglas Hicks, PE has over 35 years of experience in solids processing including pelleting, drying, feeding, extrusion and spheronization. We are known for our flexibility, innovation and pursuit of quality.

The company logo is a 50+ year old family trademark created by the founder's father. Look closely and you can visualize an "H", an "I" and an "X" that phonetically is the founder's last name.

From Charlotte Airport:

As you exit the airport, follow the signs to I-85. Head South towards Gastonia. Take the I-485 exit (Inner Loop) which heads North and West around Charlotte. Go to Exit 16 (Hwy 16) and make a left turn at the bottom of the ramp. This road will be a 4 lane road for most of the way but will turn into a 2 lane road for about 10 miles. The road will turn into a 4 lane road with a middle turn lane as you enter into Newton. Go to the first stop light (Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet will be on your right) and make a left turn onto East P Street Ext. Go approximately 0.5 mile and make a left turn onto Fisher Court. We are at the end of the road on the left.

From I-40 Hotels:

Most Hotels are at Exits 125-128 east of Hickory. Head towards I-40 and head East. Go to Exit 132 (Hwy 16) and make a right turn at the bottom of the ramp heading south. To approximately 5 miles where Hwy 16 will make a left turn at a stop light (Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet will be on your left). DO NOT TURN. Go straight ahead onto East P Street Ext. Go approximately 0.5 mile and make a left turn onto Fisher Court. We are at the end of the road on the left.
